The Maldives Institute of Local Governance (MILG), in
collaboration with the LGA Club and the Secretariat of Huraa Council,
successfully conducted a one-day Staff Development Program in K. Huraa on 15
August 2025. The program brought together 25 staff members for a series of
structured activities designed to strengthen both professional and personal
growth.
The initiative was designed to strengthen key workplace
values. Through interactive and team-based activities, participants were guided
to enhance communication, build trust, foster empathy, and improve teamwork and
unity within the organization. These exercises highlighted the importance of
working collectively towards shared goals, appreciating diverse perspectives,
and creating a supportive and collaborative environment.
Beyond professional development, this program also emphasized
the value of connection beyond the office setting. It provided opportunities
for staff to build meaningful bonds, appreciate individual differences, and
strengthen a collective sense of belonging within the organization.
